Peak Insurance Advisors, LLC (the company) developed and markets the innovative renters insurance program, ResidentShield, and the www.ResidentShield.com website. The company does business under the name of Multifamily Insurance Group.  In California and New York, the company is licensed and operates under the name of Premier Multifamily Insurance Services, LLC.   In Michigan, we are licensed and operate as Premier Multifamily Insurance Agency, LLC.  The company was founded by multi-housing professionals with backgrounds in apartment development, property management, tenant screening, insurance, and commercial real estate finance.

The opportunity to create the ResidentShield program stemmed from the emergence of two industry trends:

  • A dramatic recent increase in catastrophic property loss suffered at the hands of tenant-caused neglect and,
  • Multifamily property management companies are being confronted with ever-increasing commercial property insurance premiums and deductibles, along with the possibility of policy cancelation.

Given the trends, our research told us that many management companies are seeking to identify a means of transferring risk while offering a hassle-free program that is easy on a renter’s budget. We are proud to introduce the ResidentShield renter insurance program designed to meet the needs of both interest parties, the landlord AND renter.
