ResidentShield: How Does It Work?

Multifamily Insurance Group is proud to offer you the comprehensive ResidentShield renters insurance program. Based on many years of practical hands-on experience within the apartment industry, we set out to design a program for maximum client benefit, with minimal involvement from you or your staff.

Here’s how ResidentShield works:

Make the decision to manage risk. Join ResidentShield and provide the details of your portfolio.
We upload all pertinent information about each residential community in your portfolio so that when it is time to apply for policy coverage, all your properties are pre-approved.
Your on-site leasing staff is trained through a combination of on-site visits and online web training sessions. We’re happy to provide program training around your schedule, not ours.
Your staff will be trained to inform potential residents of your lease requirement that tenants have liability coverage.
We provide you with professional brochures to display for potential and existing residents.
Residents can enroll online at www.ResidentShield.com. The enrollment process takes less than 5 minutes, and a temporary binder is issued via email.
Your on-site leasing professional simply places the insurance binder in the lease file and hands the resident the keys to their new apartment. We said it was easy, didn’t we?
Your designated staff will receive policy-in-force reports that detail the adoption rates and provide a snapshot of future leases to roll, etc.
Once a resident is enrolled, Multifamily Insurance Group and our insurance company partners take care of all customer service issues.
